Assistant Treasurer

Cash Management

(a) Daily Treasury Management

  1. Analysis, Monitoring and Managing Bank Balances & Manage the Cash Pooling and Treasury Current Account with Parent Company
  2. Monitoring the automated bank statement integration with the Group Treasury Management System (Kyriba) and follow up the flow codes and fix any identified issues
  3. Treasury forecast reconciliation in Kyriba for the payments and receipts
  4. Circulation of bank statements to AP/AR accountant to manage the receipt allocation and follow up for the payment status and circulate payment advices (Proofs) with the relevant departments
  5. Be the first point of contact for the internal departments for the subject relating to the Treasury Management
  6. Assist Treasurer with the information request for the Monthly Treasury Forecast gathered from various cross functional departments (Supply chain and Logistics, Administration, sales and marketing)
  7. Assist Treasurer for petty cash management

(b) Monitoring and Follow-up

  1. Follow up and monitor bank charges by account and by customer and identify the discrepancies against agreed terms and condition and against the bank provisions in the ERP
  2. Closely monitor Treasury KPIs which rates to the performance of Daily Treasury Tasks (Bank integrations efficiency, Flow code modifications and forecast Reconciliation)

(c) Monthly and Quarterly Reporting

  1. Arrange monthly Treasury KPI review templates for the monthly Treasury meetings with the CFO and MD with the comments
  2. Assist Treasurer with the monthly reconciliations of the Treasury current account and Treasury interest figures

Forex

  1. Follow-up and monitor forex covers with the Supply Chain Team
  2. Settlement of Forex contracts with the Group Treasury
  3. Collaborate with the Group Treasury to set-up calendar with forecasted settlements and requirements of currencies
  4. Follow-up of ageing Forward contracts and explain delays
  5. Manage Forex cancellations and addition

Trade Finance

  1. Have a proper follow up for all export LCs issued and match the invoices issued against the LCs and follow up for utilization. This will be the primary source of information for the quartely Trade Finance report submit to Head Office Trade finance department
  2. Have a proactive communication with the bankers with regard to the improvements for current Trade arrangements and future trade financing requirements

Treasury Projects and Improvements

  1. Participate in the implementation of projects related to treasury department with the IT, Group Treasury (set-up ERP / automated transfers)
  2. Assist Treasurer for cash management relating to the new business process start with new countries
  3. Challenge the current process by identifying gaps and propose improvements
